We called our club 'Readers in the Wild' because reading is like going on an adventure—just like in Where the Wild Things Are. In that story, Max goes to a wild island and meets all these crazy creatures. That’s kind of like what we do when we read books. We go to new places, find new ideas, and have fun exploring together.
Max said, 'Let the wild rumpus start!' and that's what we want too. We want to jump into books with excitement, talk about what we think, and hear what our friends have to say. Being ‘wild’ means being brave to try new stories and respecting everyone's thoughts. We’re a group of explorers who love to read and share cool adventures. Spot us Reading in the WILD!
"Readers in the Wild is a community of middle school students who love to read and explore new books together. We adventure through stories across genres, cultures, and ideas discussing what we discover, sharing our thoughts, and growing as friends in the wild world of literature. Our mission is to spark imagination, encourage open-minded conversation, and nurture a lifelong love of reading."
